Who am I you ask?..
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Elissa and I am a WPIC certified wedding coordinator, currently working towards my destination wedding certification. We live just outside of Peterborough, On. I’m a Daughter, Sister, Wife and Mother. We have a 2 year old daughter Olivia who is our entire world. I’m a lover of many things, but mainly country music and travelling. (which is why I’m so looking forward to completing my D.W.C).
My husband and I have been together since 2009 and spent the earlier part of our relationship with four provinces between us. He, in Peterborough and I, just outside of Vancouver, we had spent a lot of our time travelling back and forth to make it all work, needless to say, it was all well worth the effort. After four years together, I’m happily married to the man of my dreams. We were fortunate enough to share our wedding day with 138 of our closest family and friends on a sunny August day at a tree farm with that homegrown rustic feel, located just outside of the GTA.
I have been interested in weddings since a very young age and found such pleasure planning and creating our own that I decided to become a certified coordinator. Upon my completion I decided that the best thing to do would be to open my own business. After thinking long and hard, brainstorming and researching names and their availability I came up with “Signed with Love Events” I think its a very suitable name for this industry and it gives off a romantic feel. I’m very pleased with the decision and I take great pride in this venture I’ve created and taken on.
Being raised on a farm, out in the country, I tend to be drawn to the rustic, romance, wooded garden, and personalized styled wedding. (If you haven’t already noticed) They all just naturally appeal to me. I enjoy seeing the personal touches in a wedding. I find that it leaves guests with a lasting memory and even gives them the opportunity to learn more about who the Bride and Groom are as a couple. Some guests at a wedding may only know either the Bride or the Groom up until the day of the wedding, so its nice to share with them who you are, and who you have become together. Whether its just one special moment, dance, toast, or special surprise, a lasting impression is always a plus.
